Why Fulton Chooses Arriva

That shows up in the details: a technician who knows Itawamba County instead of a call center out of state, 24/7 multi-lingual support from real people, and a company that’s still locally accountable.

Our History

A Family-Owned Company, Four Generations Strong

D.L. and Estelle Fail bought their hometown telephone company back in 1923, starting with one manual switchboard and a handful of poles. By 1973 that had grown into a holding company serving communities across four states, and in 1992 Charlie and Dot Fail, along with their children Donna and Cy, founded Fail Telecommunications Corporation. In 2023, the family celebrated 100 years and four generations in the business. Today, great-granddaughters Christa and Ali run the company their family has always run, now known as Arriva.

You may still know Arriva locally as Fulton Telephone Company, the name the office at 402 W Beene St. operated under for years. The name has changed, but the ownership and the commitment to Itawamba County has not.

About the Area

Fiber and DSL Internet in Fulton, MS

Fulton is the county seat of Itawamba County, sitting along the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway in northeast Mississippi. The city was incorporated in 1837 and named for Robert Fulton, the inventor of the steamboat. It’s home to Itawamba Community College and part of the Tupelo micropolitan area, close enough to Tupelo for a short commute but still its own tight-knit community.

A slow or unreliable internet connection is more than an inconvenience for a place like this. It can mean a missed video call for someone commuting into Tupelo without leaving town, or a household trying to run several devices at once over a connection that wasn’t built for it. Arriva has served this area for generations, first as Fulton Telephone Company and now as Arriva, and continues to offer both fiber and DSL service across Fulton and the surrounding communities.
